Press Release - A-Level Results

We are incredibly proud of the remarkable achievements our wonderful students have accomplished this year in their A-Level, Vocational and EPQ qualifications. This group of young people have possibly faced the most significant disruption over the past three years having sat no GCSE examinations and their Year 11 cut short due to lockdown, so to see so many celebrating today really is a fantastic sight to see. They have shown incredible strength and their resilience, dedication and hard work has really paid off for this cohort. Everyone at Maiden Erlegh School congratulates the A-Level students of 2023!

Paul Gibson, Headteacher, commented ‘I would like to personally congratulate every single one of our students who opened their results this morning.  This group of students have put in a monumental effort to overcome the challenges that they have faced since 2020, and it was incredibly pleasing to see so many smiles this morning.  I would like to wish them the very best of luck on their next steps, whatever they may be’.

As a school, we are elated to share that we have achieved our best set of ‘normal’ results in many years with 33% of grades being A*/A, 63% A*-B, 85% A*-C and 99% A*-E.
