MERL Youth Panel
The Museum of English Rural Life and Reading Museum are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our Youth Panel. Please share this opportunity with your young people!
Are you 14-18 and interested in developing your experience of museums, archives or galleries?
As a member students will:
• help ensure the museum is relevant to young visitors
• gain behind-the-scenes museum experience working with museum professionals
• learn transferable skills
• have a fantastic project for your CV, UCAS or job application
• meet new people and work in a team
Projects are directed by students and could include developing events, workshops, displays and exhibitions.
The panel is set for launch on Thursday 21st of May.

Year 12 and 13: Mulberry Care Home
Year 12 and 13 students have been invited to Mulberry Care Home, on a voluntary supervised basis. The opportunity will allow you to enhance the quality of life of the most vulnerable and frail members of our society. Please let Mr Buck know if you are interested.

Volunteering Opportunity at Reading Girls’ School – Year 12 and 13 Students
We are looking for student volunteers to help younger students academically by tutoring them and helping them with their studies for English, Maths, Science and other subjects. This is an good opportunity to develop confidence in your own skills and help others, and it will be an excellent thing to show on your applications for university, college and work.
