FLB Accountants Work Experience Competition

FLB Accountants are a firm of independent Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors soon to be based in an office in Winnersh and currently based in Wokingham.

We are looking to recruit two new trainee accountants and is open to students who will be leaving school this year following the completion of their A-Levels. We will initially be offering pupils the chance to apply for the opportunity to have 1 weeks work experience plus £100 with the prospect of a career with us at FLB.

To apply for this opportunity we will be asking pupils to write a 500 word essay on a choice of topics relating to finance and accounting. We will then begin the selection process which will involve asking a number of successful candidates to attend our offices for a series of short assessments, including skills in using Microsoft excel, basic literacy and typing, One successful applicant from each school will then be offered to come along for the weeks work experience and to receive the £100 cash.

One of our members of staff has recently qualified as a Chartered Account at the age of 24, she joined our firm as a school leaver and has progressed through AAT and ACA to become fully qualified. We also have a junior member of staff who has been with us a year now, also a school leaver from a local school, who became successful in winning the Kaplan scholarship and is currently in the process of completing her AAT qualification.  Ultimately the role we are recruiting for would be for a trainee accountant with full training provided and excellent career progression.

We are aware that A-Level exams will start in May and finish around June time, therefore July seeming a good month to hold the work experience.

Should any of the above sound of interest to you, please contact myself or my colleague Nicola Peck at our offices on 01753 863732.
