Community Arts Programme to Close at End of Summer Term 2024/25

Maiden Erlegh School’s Community Arts Programme will close at the end of the summer 2024/25 term.

The programme, which has included a range of evening classes and Saturday sessions, has been part of our extended community offer for many years. However, participation has steadily declined and it is no longer sustainable to run the programme given the staffing and facilities costs involved.

While this has been a difficult decision to make, it reflects a shift in demand and allows us to focus resources where they are most needed. We want to thank everyone who has been part of the programme, as participants, staff, artists, and supporters, over the years. We are proud of what the programme has offered, and we know that many people have found enjoyment and inspiration through it.

We remain committed to offering a rich and varied arts curriculum to our students and will continue to support creativity across the school.
