Religion & Philosophy Faith Visitors

Recently, our Religion and Philosophy department has had the honour of hosting a variety of faith visitors who shared insights about their beliefs and how these shape their lives.

Year 8 had the opportunity to meet Buddhist visitors who practise Nichiren Buddhism led by Ikuko. They led a peaceful meditation session and explained the key teachings of Nichiren Buddhism, including the importance of chanting and inner transformation.

Year 9 welcomed both Muslim (Imam Fahim & Sadia) and Christian (Carrie & Reverend Stephen) visitors, who spoke passionately about their respective faiths. They discussed how their beliefs guide their everyday choices, offer a sense of purpose, and influence their relationships and actions.

These visits gave students a meaningful chance to explore different world views and reflect on how faith can inspire people in diverse and positive ways.
