Maiden Erlegh School recognised among top-performing schools nationally
Maiden Erlegh School has been recognised in the SSAT Educational Outcomes Awards, placing the school in the top 10% of non-selective secondary schools nationally for student attainment in the 2025 Key Stage 4 examinations.
The SSAT (Schools, Students and Teachers Network) Educational Outcomes Awards are based on national performance data, drawing on information from the Department for Education and Ofsted. The awards recognise schools where students achieve strong outcomes compared to others across the country.
This recognition reflects the consistency of teaching, curriculum planning and support across Maiden Erlegh School, and the outcomes students are achieving by the end of Year 11.
Sue Williamson, Chief Executive of SSAT, said:
“Congratulations to Maiden Erlegh School on winning an SSAT Educational Outcomes Award. This success is down to the superb learning and teaching, outstanding support and inspirational leadership of staff. You have made a huge difference to the lives of the young people in your school. Thank you.”
Steve Jump, Headteacher, said:
“I am delighted that our staff have received this recognition for their hard work and dedication. They work tirelessly to ensure strong outcomes both academically and personally for our young people. It is also a testament to the hard work and motivation of the young people themselves – it is a great moment for our whole community.”
Students at Maiden Erlegh School follow a broad and structured curriculum, with a focus on strong subject knowledge, clear expectations and consistent support. This approach supports them to make progress across a range of subjects and prepare for their next steps.
This recognition provides a clear external benchmark of the outcomes students are achieving and the work taking place across the school.
Well done to everyone involved in making this possible.
