Students to pass through Maiden Erlegh School on 20-mile sponsored walk for Kenya
Students from Maiden Erlegh Chiltern Edge will be passing through Maiden Erlegh School as part of their 20-mile sponsored walk to support Grace Academy School in Nakuru, Kenya, where they will be volunteering later this year.
The students have chosen a walking challenge to reflect the reality that, in many rural settings in Kenya students can only access school by walking long distances. This walk is about making that effort visible.
Funds raised will support education at Grace Academy School in Kenya, contributing to resources that benefit pupils directly.
We look forward to welcoming the students as they pass through Maiden Erlegh School and wish them well for the remainder of their walk.
Families, staff and members of the community are warmly invited to support the students by sponsoring the walk if they are able, offering encouragement as they pass through the schools on the route, and by liking and sharing social media posts about it.
