Maiden Erlegh School Teachers Take on 100km Ultra Marathon for Cancer Charities

Mr Pringle and Mr Bryant, are preparing for the challenge of a lifetime – running an incredible 100km ultra-marathon along the Thames Path to raise money for cancer charities, and they’d love your support.

On September 13, 2025, they will set off from Putney, covering the gruelling distance to Henley in just 12 hours, all in support of @Cancer Research UK and @Run 4 Cancer.

Running for a Cause

Both teachers have chosen charities that are making a real difference in the fight against cancer:

Cancer Research UK (Supported by Mr Bryant)

💙 One of the UK’s leading cancer charities, Cancer Research UK funds vital research into prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, working towards a future where more lives can be saved. The charity’s groundbreaking work has contributed to higher survival rates and more effective treatments for millions.

Run 4 Cancer (Supported by Mr Pringle)

💙 Run 4 Cancer provides practical support to families affected by cancer, offering respite breaks and experiences that bring moments of relief and joy during the most challenging times. The charity was set up by runners who wanted to use their passion for endurance sports to help those affected by cancer.

An Incredible Challenge

Taking on 100km in one day is no small feat. Both teachers have been training intensively, clocking up countless miles in preparation for this endurance test. As experienced athletes and passionate sports educators, they are pushing their limits – not just for personal achievement, but to help those battling cancer.
